My mouth where the teeth were still feels swollen today, but it does not hurt as bad as it did 2 days ago. I ran out of Lortab, so I'm just taking over-the-counter Tylenol now. I'm not sure how long to expect the swelling, but I'm sure that it feels bigger in my mouth than it really is. It feels like I've got 2 mountains on each side of my mouth, but I know it's not swollen THAT badly.
The only benefit from having the teeth out is that I've lost another 4 lbs. this week for our Biggest Loser contest at work, which helped me race right on past my initial goal of 190 lbs. I weighed in this morning at 187.5 lbs., a loss of 22.5 lbs. (10.7% of myself) since we started the contest in late April. I'm now the biggest loser on our team so far.
Of course, the down side is I've also not been able to eat anything solid since Thursday. Lots of milkshakes, mac-n-cheese, oatmeal & soup. I did try to eat a hot dog last night, but I don't think I want to try that again anytime soon. I still can't chew on the side of my mouth.
If I lose too much more weight, I'm going to need to buy a new wardrobe…
