Am I Really Getting That Old?

I went to our men's softball practice today, and came home with muscular aches on my lower back – enough to make it hard to get up and down off the couch or to walk around.  I still had some muscle relaxants that I got when I did the same thing to my back trying to bowl a little over a year ago.  I don't even remember doing anything that would have hurt my back, either.

Am I really getting that old?  I mean, I'm only 36, it's not like I'm in my 50s or 60s or anything (my apologies to those I love who are that age).  But I feel like I'm old, and I'm really not.  I can't even do the things I like to do anymore.  It's really kind of irritating.  I'm still 20 in my head, but my body is saying otherwise.

I guess I'll take the muscle relaxant, and hope I feel better soon.  I'm not going to let it keep me from playing softball or coaching Collin's team this year.

  1. [...] A few posts ago, I referred to myself as being 36.  I'm not.  I'm 35.  I guess that IS a sign that I'm getting old. [...]
